The Education Committee is chaired by Ma Janette Ojong, a respected citizen and longtime educator whose career has been dedicated to advancing academic development and youth empowerment. Through her leadership, the committee provides thoughtful guidance on educational programming and policy, ensuring that Eyumema USA’s educational initiatives remain impactful, inclusive, and sustainable.
The Education Committee exists to promote, support, and advance educational achievement among the Manyu people, with a special focus on empowering young girls through access to learning opportunities, mentorship, and scholarship support.
By investing in education, the committee helps cultivate future leaders who will contribute meaningfully to their communities both in the diaspora and in Cameroon.

The committee develops and recommends educational policies that guide the organization’s approach to supporting academic advancement within the Manyu community. These policies help ensure transparency, accountability, and strategic focus in all educational initiatives.
The committee oversees scholarship programs sponsored by Eyumema USA. Responsibilities include developing eligibility criteria, reviewing applications, evaluating academic performance and financial need, and recommending qualified candidates for scholarship awards.
The committee facilitates mentorship opportunities connecting experienced professionals, educators, and community leaders with students. These relationships help guide young people through academic decision-making, career planning, and leadership development.
The committee organizes academic workshops, leadership seminars, tutoring initiatives, and career development sessions designed to equip students with practical knowledge and academic support.
Through outreach programs and community engagement, the committee encourages families to prioritize education and actively support the academic aspirations of their children, particularly young girls.
The committee seeks partnerships with educational institutions, foundations, and nonprofit organizations to expand access to scholarships, internships, and learning opportunities for Manyu students.
Monitoring and Impact Evaluation: To ensure programs remain effective and impactful, the committee evaluates scholarship outcomes, tracks student progress, and continuously refines initiatives to better serve the community.
The Scholarship Program of Eyumema USA Inc. was established to provide financial assistance and academic encouragement to promising students of Manyu heritage who demonstrate strong academic potential, leadership capacity, and commitment to community development.
The program reflects Eyumema USA’s conviction that investment in education yields long-term social, economic, and intellectual advancement for the entire Manyu community.
The Education Committee, under the leadership of Ma Janet Ojong, administers the scholarship process and ensures that all selections are conducted in a transparent, merit-based, and equitable manner.

Applicants must generally meet the following criteria:
• Be of Manyu heritage or have a direct connection to the Manyu community
• Demonstrate strong academic performance
• Show evidence of leadership, service, or community engagement
• Provide proof of enrollment in a recognized educational institution
• Submit required academic records and recommendation letters
Additional requirements may be determined by the Education Committee depending on the scholarship category.
